Wedding Photography & Videography for WI, MN, and IL
This great couple and I spent a beautiful evening at Governor Nelson State Park for this engagement session. A great location to take advantage of all the natural settings the park has to offer. Colette & Travis are incorporating a nautical theme into their wedding later this year, so we decided to add a couple photos with a lakeside backdrop to their engagement session as well.
For Blair & Jake’s engagement session, we combined a relaxed and casual stroll in the park with a dressed up night on the town. It was the perfect combo to capture the Spring Madison setting and the couple in the photos make the photos even better. Sajia and Ken are a beautiful and fun couple that share an obvious love for each other. We headed to the UW Arboretum for their photos in order to take advantage of the early blooms of Spring. The natural backdrop worked perfectly for their engagement session, foreshadowing their garden wedding to come later this summer.

Elisa & Reid are planning a destination wedding for next year, so in addition to the standard fun engagement photos, we collaborated together to spice up this session with a beach setting for their save-the-date cards. It felt a little ironic setting up a beach towel and umbrella by a Wisconsin lake in February, but it was totally worth it. What a great couple and a great session to launch the 2012 season!

2011 was an exciting and eventful year for us. We want to send out a big thank you to all of our clients who invited us into some of the most significant moments of their life to capture them in photographs. And now that the year has wrapped up, it’s time for our Best of 2011 Photo Contest!
Here’s how it works: We’ve chosen a single photo for each couple/senior that we photographed this year to be entered into the contest and have displayed them below. And that’s where YOU get involved. Help us choose this year’s winner by voting on your favorite photo of the year.
There are two ways to vote:
1) Leave a comment at the end of this post including the name(s) of the people in your favorite photo, and if you’d like, tell us why it’s your favorite.
2) Head over to our Facebook Page, “like” us if you haven’t already, and leave a comment on our wall including the name(s) of the people in your favorite photo.
Max 2 votes per voter (one on our blog, one on our Facebook page).
Voting ends at 11:59pm on Saturday, January 21st.
The couple or individual in the photo that receives the most votes will win a free 16×24 gallery-wrapped canvas of the photo of their choice, valued at $399. And if they’ve already received a canvas from us, then they’ll be able to put that $399 toward any of our other products, such as a framed print or album credit. Second and third place will also win $50 photo credit each.
The winners will be announced during the week of January 23rd, as soon as all votes can be validated and counted.
